First of Spring (fundraiser for Refugee Support Group)

In view of the despicable and inflammatory language being used by the current UK government when defending their immigration legislation, 50% of the sale price from this limited edition woodcut, will be donated to my local refugee charity, Refugee Support Group. https://refugeesupportgroup.org.uk/

The prints are a limited edition of 50, signed and numbered on the front, on 38x28 cm Somerset satin (250gsm). From each print sold, £25 will go to Refugee Support Group.

The print is inspired by the Wheatear, one of the earliest migrant birds to reach our shores each spring. And it celebrates the fact that human beings are also a migrant species. We have survived as a species because of our ability to migrate. Migration enriches the regions travelled to. The UK has severe labour shortages and low productivity. People with the motivation to reach the UK to make a new life here are very welcome as far as I am concerned.
